scanner bliss

Finally I have access to a scanner. Therefore, commence posting of some sketches that I did over these few months.

Oldies on the bus

oldfish

Long time no update, mostly studies this time. even though im supposed to be working on prints. BECAUSE STUDIES ARE EASIERRRR.

Studies from transformers

sketch

Shall attempt doing a small painting each day, except for work days. During this, I have realised I am horrible at painting rocks/cliffs/anything that is a by product of earth's self mutilation sessions.

fooling around

Never tried sculptris before SO HERE IS THE NONSENSE THAT GOT CREATED after fooling around for 5 mins. It's free, and is virtually a free version of zbrush - also by pixologic. :D   As usual I have no idea what I am doing when exploring 3D programs.

Merchant of Duvii

alien theme.  Got lazy and based it on the assassin bug which I did research for before.. but decided to switch up the proportions a bit.

"When dealing with the merchants of Duvii, one must always wear an impenetrable helmet, for they have an unfortunate tendency to use their protrusions to inject a deadly poison into the foreheads of opposing merchants, whenever they encounter a deal in which they disagree. Which is to say, fairly often...but as they are the only known dealers of the rare drug phenatine, this leaves buyers little choice."

I have been watching too much Breaking Bad, hence the choice of temperamental/homicidal drug dealers. Until the next theme!

sort of hiatus?

Haven't been posting things, but I guess I will upload the end of term stuff that I did before going on a self induced learning break. So there aren't going to be as much uploads as before.  Man I really dislike living at home. There is just no sense of personal space/studio that I can do work all day in.  So I'm actually heading to the library instead of staying at home. If it wasn't for the part time job... I'd say that I'd still be in Oakville. :C

Toronto Comic Arts Festival this weekend! Woot.

Also extremely frustrated about the hiking tuition cost for no damn apparent reason. It's higher than animation's, but we get half of the resources, or even less. ( an estimation).  Please send emails to the student president/deans/mps to whatever parties you can if you fellow students do not want to pay this extremely unreasonable cost.

half hour warm ups, studies from mag

This week's theme. I still need to finish detailing it ugggggg, but it's good enough for the theme.

More schoolwork. joy.

Exploded view of things

This view is so pretty; too bad Ian will never accept it.

Instant cutaway. oh hey I've done next year's project already.

On a random note, cereal with mocha and peanut butter is awesome. Chocolate, coffee AND peanut butter.

shedding progress

so nothing interesting is going to be posted for a bit... MEANWHILE HAVE SOME SHEDS.

Progress pics?  Or what I do to satisfy my urge to look at semi shiny objects.

Should be the final. I'm not going to kill myself over this.

coffee packaging

Packaging assignment! Super excited because it's all SO CLEAN :D.  Currently having a mild obsession with design packaging...   Might change colour schemes later and will definitely kill myself to model them! :DDDDDD

Basically:  Coffee bags, tea tins, cake, pastry packaging and shopping bag.

thingamabob

MAGICAL THING PROJECT.  I wished we could do more fantastical stuff... rather than this plain ol' compact stool/stove-in a table combination. The stool is stackable with the stove and you can slide both into the table.

WITH TEXTURESSS. Stove is stainless steel with the table being durable plastic/carbon fibre to make it light. Chair should be carbon fibre/plexiglass or some light metal and spray painted.
