sketches for today

some time machine monster prompted by my friend. Its eyes are the portals.

Sketches tend to be characters or creatures.,,. they're easier to do than landscapes  ;_;

Speed timing myself for characters as practise.   I think I could push the shapes more, but this isn't my strong point. Total time should be about 3.5 hr including research. Saw this stern looking foreman and decided to use him as the base for an "urban" barbarian. The choice of weapon is an ice axe... weirdly thin but effective.

Maybe I'll colour and tighten it up when there's time.
